DID YOU KNOW?

Did you know there are currently 79,000 young adults and minors being sex trafficked in Texas, according to a two-year study conducted by the UT School of Social Work?

A lot of people aren’t aware of this grim fact, so The Refuge for DMST (Domestic Minor Sex Trafficking) is collaborating with West Elm to create a "traffic-stopping" art installation on its storefront windows at 5th Street and Lamar Blvd.

Did you see those 79,000 Post-it Notes?

Each one has a symbolic girl’s name handwritten on it.

On November 19th, 3-7PM we are inviting the public to come pull one of these 79,000 names off of the windows for our “Be the 1, Give 1” campaign, and to also help contribute the furniture and accessories needed for the girls who will be recovering at The Refuge Ranch. You can also click here now to donate directly.

Buy 1 item from the West Elm wish list and it will bring comfort to 1 of the girls at The Refuge Ranch.

Be the 1 • Give 1 • Save 1

The Refuge for DMST (Domestic Minor Sex Trafficking) is developing The Refuge Ranch, a long-term, residential, therapeutic community and foster placement agency for 48 girls, minors through age 19, who have been rescued from sex traffickers. The Refuge Ranch will be one of the only long-term, live-in rehabilitation facilities for child survivors of sex trafficking in the United States.
